I thought I would share what our very own Sea View Maurice has been up to . . .
Tim ran out of rooms on the main floors of the farm house, so has started reclaiming the basement - in fine style. He has built the most amazing sauna (with cold shower!) in the room that used to be a long closet off the room where the stand up freezer was, but is now the exercise room. He and Linda have a pact - no sauna without a 1/2 hour of treadmill and trampoline.
Your dad and I went up to try it out tonight - post George's 80th birthday party where we were serenaded by Mary Cousins and where I met my new IFBF- that's Iphone boyfriend - Paul - George's sister's husband. So much for technology being for the young. In Paul's case, it is definitely for the young at heart! He actually phoned me at 11:00 pm to clear up one last issue on my phone . . . I would say Paul performed his little Christmas miracle for a stranger - me!
Back to the sauna - one word - I WANT ONE. OK, three words. It is pretty fabulous. Tim is a freak and someday (but a long time from now)I hope scientists get the chance to examine the workings of that brain.
Enjoy the pics, have a great Sunday, stay warm!!
xoxoxo
Mom
Marion got caught between the boys for the birthday photo.
George's nod to aging.. He now has two chairs - one at either end of his garden. Robert Milner sketched him there last summer and Darren bought the resulting painting for his dad's birthday.
The sauna is eastern cedar - smells as great as it feels!
It really is this big! I think we might take the record at the Drummond farm this year!! Gorgeous!!
Hey Gang:
ReplyDeleteI took Mom up on her challenge today by buying coffee and donuts for the Drummond Christmas tree gang . . . by the way, Kathie drinks her tea with two milk and two twin!!
Who's next? xo Dad.
Me!! On my what seemed to be endless journey through the stores of Charlottetown I let a woman in front of me at the Dollarstore cash. The winding line behind me was not impressed, but she looked confused and needed a friend! As it turned out, she was a tiny bit ca-razy. I learned a lot about the virtues of a pink and light blue Xmas . . . next year!
ReplyDeleteOk, here is my fourth attempt on commenting!! Our blog adventure is so much fun! I am loving the photos old and new! Yesterday I helped a young mom pick out her first real Christmas tree! We found a nice fat tall tree and doctored it up so it would fit in her house! Best sale yesterday... She was very excited!
ReplyDeleteThat definitely qualifies as a little Christmas miracle!! xo
DeleteWowy, everything looks pretty beautiful and the blog has really taken off in the couple days I've been away from the internet! The Drummonds really out-did themslves with the trees this year and it's very well adorned too. I had no idea Tim had started (and finished) so much in the basement, looks incredible! And thank you for the Maurice comparison, I'll never watch Beauty and the Beast in the same way again - nail on the head with that one! I'll be looking for lots of christmas miracle opportunities this week and get back to y'all. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteOOOOOO - I "heart" comments!! Kelly cannot comment on her phone, but let me just say she does not have to look far for a Christmas miracle . . . She IS one!! xoxo
