And Then We were Down to . . . Jon!!

Wednesday, Christmas Eve

HoHoHo to my much-loved family!!
It has occurred to me that I may have featured my offspring in the wrong order.
I am ending our Christmas Countdown with a Jon retrospective when I probably should have reversed the order and ended with the Christly child!! Ah well, there is always next year.
We are in a bit of a Christmas Eve rush today . . .a little trip to town ahead, a little house clean up, wrapping to do, food to prepare, the Moncton girls arriving . . . and I just have to say - I am grateful and happy to have this break and to celebrate this holy holiday, but - I would one thousand times rather be doing it with all my chicks here, under this roof, talking, arguing, and loving each other.
I miss you all - even the two who live so close, but on this day, not close enough!
Have a peace-filled Christmas. Remember that this time of year is about reflection, about love in its purest form, about tiny acts of giving and sharing that can change hearts and lives.

  1. A fantastic Jon retrospective, if I do say so myself! You captured the subject wonderfully and it's more than appreciated. This was an excellent way to lead up to a 'Home Alone Style" Christmas, thanks you Mom and Dad for taking all the time to share so many memories and so much love with us all.
Merry Christmas to all you poor people stuck down there on the east coast (obviously the prairies are where it's at)! Love, love you all so much. Talk tomorrow I'm sure, sleep tight before Santa, and the Kellster's birthday arrive!

P.S. off to get supply as well, plan on recreating the bran muffin, mamosa morning here!

  2. Love these photos as well! Jon, I hope Myers is keeping you company this Christmas Day. Wish we could all be together today but this blog has been a wonderful way to reflect on our memories!
I just want to mention the prom photo for a minute... Jon of course looked amazing but, Kelly's tear away starter pants may take the cake! I love that Lydia is also in the picture
