Christmas is a time for memories . . .

Thursday, Dec 18

Two weeks ago your dad and I were tidying up the house (aka frantically cleaning before the liberals descended) when I stumbled upon the piece I wrote for John's funeral. It had been a long time since I had read it, and I am especially pleased to have found it at this time of year. John loved Christmas . . . and that may be the biggest understatement of the year! John was nuts about Christmas and it was always a treat to be around him when he was in holiday mode. I can still see him decorating for Kelly's birthday dinners on Christmas Eve at Di's, and remember how much he loved that Christmas at the Inn . . . . so much that they came back for New Year's. I never see a crepe that I don't think of that week.
Christmas is most definitely a time for remembering, and I am grateful this year that we are blessed with loving memories of people we have loved - people like John.
Have a Fabulous Friday!!
Love you lots,
Mom  xoxoxoxo
